About us <\/p>\n

IT ALL BEGAN ON A VERY RAINY DAY. (SPOILER ALERT: IT\u2019S NOT ROMANTIC, BUT YOU MAY LIKE IT).<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

\"\"Rain is cool, rain is uncool. Well, that\u2019s a tough topic. Some may bring up the romantic argument: \u201cYay, it\u2019s snuggle time on the couch with your significant other in front of the TV!<\/em>\u201d. Right? Not.<\/p>\n

Fact: depending on the rainfall intensity, satellite TV signal gets\u00a0weaker and weaker<\/span>. And what if you have no significant other next to you and all you wanted was your cold beer and your long awaited soccer match on the pay-TV?
\nAt least you can still have your beer. Fair.<\/p>\n

Well, we\u2019ve all been there. Seriously,\u00a0we\u2019ve been on that couch<\/span>. We had no match to watch, no significant other in that very moment, not even a beer to drink (yeah, we know).\u00a0But we started pondering seriously about this satellite signal issue.\u00a0This is how\u00a0Smart Rainfall System<\/b>\u00a0was born<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Jokes aside, our pondering took us pretty far. We founded our startup,\u00a0Artys<\/b>, in 2014, after a fruitful cooperation with\u00a0Darts Engineering<\/a><\/b>\u00a0and the deparments\u00a0DITEN<\/b><\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0DICCA<\/a><\/b>\u00a0of the University of Genoa; we were a spin-off of the university until June 2021 indeed.<\/p>\n

Our\u00a0real time, HD rainfall and risk monitoring system<\/strong>\u00a0is our company\u2019s first milestone. We have a concrete idea of what kind of reality you experience when a flood is going on. The reason we were sitting on that couch is that we felt the\u00a0duty to join our cross-disciplinary skills<\/strong>\u00a0in order to develop a\u00a0functional<\/strong>,\u00a0relevant<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0truly innovative hydrogeological monitoring solution<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

We did it. But there\u2019s\u00a0\u00a0so much more we are working on<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Our company is here to find, more in general,\u00a0pertinent<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0highly technological solutions\u00a0<\/strong>for\u00a0environmental monitoring<\/strong>.\u00a0We have the vision to it<\/span>. No matter if it\u2019s on or off that couch.<\/p>\n
